December 22nd & 23rd

9 AM - 3:30 PM

Give the gift of art this Christmas. Purple Duck will help your child create art for themselves and one-of-a-kind gifts for the special people in their lives.

We will have a pop-up gallery exhibition for the kids on the night of the 23rd.

6-7 PM Pop-Exhibition showcasing student work. Mini beef and veggie burgers will be provided along with sparkling apple juice.

DAY 1 - Kids sketch their favorite stuffed animal (blanket or toy) from observation, project their drawings onto large canvases, and experiment with composition and color to create their own unique portrait. It’s hands-on, imaginative, and a chance to see their favorite buddy as a work of art.

DAY 2 - Kids explore the quiet beauty of soft colorfields and the power of large, intuitive mark-making.

Kids will:

  • Sketch from observation

  • Project drawings onto big canvases

  • Explore composition

  • Create a one-of-a-kind portrait of their favorite stuffed animal

  • Create serene works inspired by minimalists

  • Explore limited palettes + simple forms

  • Practice mindful, slow art
